Anambra Election: Leadership of Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria briefing the press.

Youth groups under the umbrella of Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria have declared support for security agencies working in Anambra ahead of Saturday’s election.

The youth groups said despite distractions perpetrated by some unidentified persons, the governorship election in Anambra State must hold as scheduled.

The groups comprising the leadership of young market traders, keke riders, road transport workers union, civil society groups among others, issued a communique in respect of the Anambra election gubernatorial election and the controversies surrounding it.

The joint communique issued by the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria was read by the Secretary of the Anambra state chapter, Comrade Uchechukwu Obi, flanked by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. IIrouno Chukwunonye.

The National President of the group, Comrade God’s-time Samuel expressed confidence that the group working the police and other key stakeholders of the state will ensure a hitch free gubernatorial election.

Another participants at the summit Mr Ojika Donatus is the President, Police Campaign Against Drug Abuse and Social Vices said the people of the state will be doing themselves no good if they scuttle the election and it fail to hold.

Donatus called on the people of Anambra to go out en mass on Saturday the 6th of November to vote for the candidate of their choices.
