Governor Abdullahi Sule, addressing Journalists in Nasarawa State after a Juma’at prayer marking the beginning of the 2021 press week by Nasarawa State council of NUJ.

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has called for unity of purpose among journalists in the State.
The Governor made the call on Friday in Lafia at the end of a special Juma’at prayer to mark the beginning of the 2021 press week of the Nasarawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.

Engr. Sule explained that leaders rely on the media to succeed in the service to humanity and called on journalists to shun practices capable of causing disaffection among the people.
“Today we prayed for the NUJ and we prayed for the country and ourselves. It’s my prayer that the event you are having will be the beginning of great success for members of the union. I also call on Journalists in the state and the country at large to remain united and focused in discharging their duties so that we can have a better society”, he said.
The Governor commended the leadership of the NUJ in the state for organising a press week and urged journalists to use the period for self appraisal with the aim of charting a new course for a better society.
