The Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to recognise past leaders of the state owing to the giant strides they recorded while they held sway.
Governor Sule made this known on Tuesday during a thank you visit by the family, associates, well-wishers and political office holders of Late Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall in Government House, Lafia.
The Governor who described Aliyu Doma as a father to all, said that the second Executive Governor deserve to be immortalised because of his contribution in the struggle for the creation of the state as well as being the one who conceptualised the construction of the banquet hall.

“Baba will call me back for breakfast and then Baba will begin with history of how Nasarawa State was created, some of these things I was not interested but today am interested and I thank him for that”.
Sule thanked the friends and associates of the late Aliyu Akwe Doma for standing by the family and remaining united even after his demise.

Those who also spoke at the event include; former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief John Michael Abdul, former Secretary to the State Government, Timothy Anjide and the son of the former Governor, Umaru Aliyu Akwe Doma. They all appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for the honour done the Aliyu Doma family by naming the Banquet Hall in Government House Lafia after their leader and father.
The trio pledged the support of both the family and forum of political appointees of the former to the Governor Abdullahi Sule led administration at all time as they will remain indebted to the Governor for this onerous gesture.
