The Special Assistant on Media to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Mr Uko Umoh has donated a contactless sanitizing booth to the Akwa Ibom state government house chapel in Uyo.
The government house chapel is where the Governor, his family and top functionaries of government hold Christian services.
Umoh donated the sanitizing booth on Sunday, saying that it was in support of the fight against COVID-19 in the state and thanked the Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, for giving him and others the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the state and humanity.

Akwa Ibom state government’s response and the fight against the deadly coronavirus has been rated highly because of the commitment of the Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
Recall that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, recently rated very high the newly opened molecular diagnostic laboratory with a category 3 PCR machine, constructed by the Akwa Ibom state government for running of coronavirus tests.

The commitment of the Governor in the fight against the deadly coronavirus has roused laudable supports such as the one lend by the governor’s media aide, Mr Uko Umoh.
The contactless sanitizing booth which dispenses water, soap and alcohol- based hand sanitizer was received by Governor Udom Emmanuel on behalf of the chapel.
The Governor thanked Mr Umoh for joining hands with the government to fight the deadly virus which has caused untold devastation to the human race.

“This is very encouraging. This is a fantastic job you have done. As a person I am very delighted. As a government, we have received this in appreciation, because this will go a long way in supporting the fight against the enemy of mankind, the COVID-19”, Emmanuel said.
Also, the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Martha Emmanuel, thanked Umoh for the donation and prayed God to bless his family abundantly.
