Comrade Omotoso Surprise, President NANS JCC, Ondo State.

Lebi Joseph, Akure.

The Secretariat of National Association of Nigerian Students, JCC Ondo State led by Comrade Omotoso Surprise frowns at the news of the industrial strike embarked by the Non-Academics Staff Union, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo over the non payment of 14 month arrears salary amongst other agitations.

It’s a sign of poor leadership and maladministration on the part of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, AKEREDOLU ROTIMI ODUNAYO to neglect and disregard the welfarism and rights of staff of the only state owned institution, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo. It’s also an apparent show of lack of sympathy and empathy of the part of the Ondo State Government led by Governor Akeredolu Rotimi Odunayo.

The detrimental effect of the industrial strike embarked on by the Non Academic Staff Union would have it’s blisteringly effect on the Nigerian Students in the institution. It’s no news that other sister associations on the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo campus are also contemplating on following suit which will disrupt the Academic proceedings in the institution.

Comr. Omotoso Surprise, Chairman, NANS JCC ONDO STATE also frown towards the gesture of the Governor of Ondo State, H.E Arakunrin Akeredolu Rotimi Odunayo over the non-payment of salaries of civil servants in the institution and in the state. The entire Nigerian Students in the state frown at the attitude of the Governor of the State for his stonehearted behavior towards the civil servants in the state especially in the educational sector.
