Jos – A former Senator representing Plateau Central and Deputy Senate President, Senator Ibrahim Mantu, is dead.
Mantu died in Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday at the age of 74 and would be buried today according to Islamic rite.
Born on Februay 16, 1947 in Chanso, Gindiri district, Mangu local government area of Plateau State, he was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He represented Plateau Central in the National Assembly from 1999-2007.
