Nigerian Medical Association in Ondo state says her former Chairman, Dr Michael Adeyeri, did not die of COVID- 19 infection.
It was reported in many online platforms and some newspapers that Adeyeri died of COVID- 19 complications.
According to a statement issued by the Ondo chairman of the NMA, Dr. Wale Oke, NMA said it was misleading to say that the late doctor died of COVID- 19.

The NMA chairman also faulted the report that the wife of the deceased Doctor contracted coronavirus from her late husband.
Oke however said Dr. Adeyeri died of blood sugar complications.
He said, “It is untrue that Dr. Adeyeri died of COVID- 19 infection. So,it is wrong for anybody to say he died of coronavirus.Julie Adeyeri
Oke said results of Dr. Adeyeri’s test aftet his demise showed that he tested negative to coronavirus.
Adeyeri who was the founder of Shekinah Hospital, Alagbaka was to have died in his hospital after attending to a patient.
