A youth running away from the fire scene at new motor park in Lafia.

Fire has razed the new Lafia motor park along Makurdi road destroying shops and valuables worth millions of naira.
Fire broke out at the new Lafia motor park on Friday night and could not be put off until the early hours of Saturday, 22nd January when the fire service arrived the scene.
Speaking in an interviewed,the Nasarawa State Coordinator of Fire Service, Mrs Hanatu George, said they got a distress call and immediately responded and they were able to stop the inferno from causing further destruction.

She however, said the caused of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained, but investigation has commenced to unravel what led to the incident.
In an interview with newsmen Mr. Ejike Igwe, a victim of the fire incident said he cannot yet quantify the worth of the property he has lost to the inferno, but it’s worths millions of naira.
The victim said he do not know how to start given the lost he had suffered and appealed for help.
