The leading aspirant for the Ikot Ekpene federal constituency seat, Akwa Ibom State, Prince Mendy Archibong, has consulted statutory delegates of the PDP in Obot Akara local government, soliciting their support in the forthcoming primaries of the party.
He told the party delegates to partner with him in his quest to create more wealth for the people as their representatives in the green chambers.
Archibong accompanied by his team, Uforo Ntó Annang campaign organisation, told the delegates that he will provide effective representation in the green chambers and will anchor his representation on wealth creation.
Identifying the pillars of his representation, Prince Archibong said he will create opportunity for human capacity development, promote rural commerce and technical education as means of job creation and wealth creation, while ensuring the development of border communities in the area to check cases of insecurity and external invasion from neighbouring state.

Archibong, who is the founder of Prince Archibong Life Foundation said he is familiar with the challenges facing communities in the federal constituency and the needs of the people having with the communities in the past two years providing social interventions through his foundation.
“I am not a stranger. Even if you have not seen me all the time, you must have heard of Prince Archibong Life Foundation. Our Foundation has been doing the working, helping communities and our people meet their basic needs.”
“I have been liberal in my community services using my personal funds. As of December 2021 when our Foundation marked its second anniversary, we had put in more than N100 million supporting education; agriculture; women empowerment; water, hygiene and sanitation projects; youths empowerment and start-ups. We did all of these with personal funds, this means I will do more in public office.”
“I urge the people of Obot Akara to rise up and take their turn to produce the next House of Reps member based on the existing zoning arrangements. In this race, I am your best foot forward.”
“I appeal to delegates to partner with me”, Archibong added.
While acknowledging the leading roles played by Senator representing Ikot Ekpene senatorial district, Engr. Chris Ekpenyong, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Monday Ebong and other stakeholders in the development of the area, Archibong assured the delegates that he will build on the legacies laid by them.
The Uforo Ntó Annang had earlier in the week consulted statutory delegates from Ikot Ekpene local government area.
Speaking, the Director General of Uforo Ntó Annang campaign organisation, Hon. Victor Udofia, appealed to the delegates to consider a fresh entrant for the 2023 race.
“We have recycled known faces for too long, we need to inject fresh energy and idea into our political space. Prince Mendy Archibong is a good, fresh start. I trust his love for his people and community. All of you have seen the wonderful community development interventions he has carried out. He can do more.”
Hon. Udofia, a former chairman of Essien Udim local government area, charged the delegates to ensure that the subsisting zoning arrangement for the House of Representatives is maintained by supporting Prince Mendy Archibong from Obot Akara.
Responding on behalf of the delegates, Mr. Michael Udoatte and women leader of Obot Akara ward 1, Obongawan Udom Eshiet, said the delegates will vote for aspirant from Obot Akara in the primary and lauded Prince Mendy Archibong for his numerous community interventions.
