The Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service, AKIRS, has thanked all taxpayers in the State for their voluntarily payment of taxes in the year 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic which affected many businesses negatively.
AKIRS in a special thank you message signed by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr Okon Okon, seeks greater cooperation and compliance of taxpayers in the year 2021.
The Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service said it was able to surpass her revenue threshold of N23 billion in 2020.

In the past four years, the Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service led by Mr Okon Okon, has made it part of its organisational culture to appreciate taxpayers at the end of each tax year and beginning of the new year.
