Miss Jecinter Lawrence Andrew, a Senior Secondary Class 1 Student of Community Secondary School, Aka Offot, Uyo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has won 2nd position in the 400m youth women final at the ongoing 2025 African School Games in Algeria.

Miss Jecinter completed the race at 56:37 seconds behind Chadian, Esther Mingueyam, who came 1st in the race, touching the finishing line at 56:36 seconds.

The Akwa Ibom girl won silver and gold medals.

She outpaced competitors from The Gambia, Algeria, Rwanda, Tunisia and Kenya, according to the result posted on Saturday 2nd August at about 8:31p.m Nigerian time by Seltec Sport, an Austria-based technology and service provider for live sports event production.

Miss Jecinter Lawrence Andrew who achieved the feat alongside other athletes that made up team Nigeria in the 4×400 Girls Medley Relay, is expected back in Akwa Ibom State this weekend, an excited family member reported.
