The Akwa Ibom state government says it will hold a valedictory exco session in honour of the late Obong Ufot Ekaette, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
According to a release from the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, the body of the late statesman will be received on Tuesday 10th December, at the Victor Attah International Airport, from where a valedictory exco session will be held in his honour at the EXCO chambers, Government House, Uyo.
The late Obong Ufot Ekaette passed on in September this year.
He will later be interred at his family compound, Ikot Edor, Onna Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, on Saturday, December 14, 2019.
The late Ufot Ekaette, served as SGF under President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Ufot Ekaette had served as Deputy Governor, Akwa Ibom state; Federal Permanent Secretary, and pioneer Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs.
