A socio-political group, Akwa lbom North East Consultative Forum, (AKNECF) Lagos chapter has been inaugurated and new members inducted.
The twin event took place in Lagos on Saturday 19th October 2024.
The socio-political organisation that is interested in the welfare of its members, growth of the entire Akwa lbom North East Senatorial District as well as supporting policies and programmes of government for the uplift and development of Akwa lbom State.
The Akwa lbom North East Consultative Forum, Lagos chapter has Otuekong Ubong Jackson as the Coordinator while Churchill Udoh is the Chairman Advisory Council, among others.
In attendance were distinguished Akwa lbom sons and daughters who turned out enmass with beautiful attires to show their solidarity towards the growth and development of the socio- political group.

Gracing the occasion was the Akwa lbom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno represented by his political adviser, Akparawa Dr. Godwin Ntukudeh who urged members of the newly inaugurated chapter to see unity as the sloe catalyst to unhindered development as well as key into the ARISE Agenda of his government for sustainable progress and inclusive development.
Performing the inauguration, the Chairman of the Akwa lbom North East Consultative Forum (AKNECF) Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob, called on members of the forum Lagos chapter to continuously uphold the ideals of the forum, noting that by working together and leveraging the strength of Akwa Ibom people, they will do greater exploits.
Goodwill messages were received from Obong Okon Okon for Uyo federal constituency, Obongawan Grace Ekong spoke for ltu/ Ibiono lbom federal constituency while Dr Okon Ema delivered his message on behalf of Etinan federal constituency.
Adding colour to the event was the President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Akparawa James Edet.
Other Principal officers of the Akwa lbom North East Consultative Forum who witnessed the event were, Mkpisong T. O Akpan, deputy leader of the group, Obongawan Ekaette Ebong Okon, Secretary, Engr, Reverend J B Effiong Administrative Secretary, Mkpisong Tony Okpong, lbanga Brownson, State PDP Secretary, Hon.Gordon Etop Idung , PRO, Rt. Hon Emman Obot, BOT, Rt.Hon Anietie Etuk, Hon. Lawrence Udosen, former PDP deputy chairman and Dr Okon Ema.
