Mr Aliyu Yahuza, has assumed office as Controller of Corrections at Nasarawa State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, (NCoS).

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC. Stephen Abene, disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday in Lafia.

He said that Yahuza took over from Emmanuel Okoro, who was redeployed to Taraba command.

According to the PRO, the new Controller on assumption of duty sought the collaboration of personnel in order to move the Service forward.

He said that Yahuza, until his redeployment to Nasarawa State command, was a Zonal Controller in charge of Zone C in Bauchi State.

Abene said the new controller hails from Katsina state and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Sokoto.

Meanwhile, the new Controller has paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, CP Bola Longe.

Police spokesman in Nasarawa State, ASP Ramhan Nansel, said CP Longe received the Controller who came to discuss ways to improve synergy between the two agencies, at the command headquarters in Lafia.
