Gunmen invaded Bunu Community, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State early hours of Sunday 9th of August, 2020, shot and killed scores of people and carte away corpses of those they killed.
The youth leader of the community, Justin Wabah who disclosed this in a statement said that the assailants also destroyed property in the community, attributing the surprise attack to inadequate policing of the area.

The Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the report but insisted that number of victim were less than reported numbers.
Omoni said Investigation has commence to unravel through situation and perpetrators of the Crime.
