Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state who is the APC standard bearer for the October 10 governorship election has named Lucky Aiyedatiwa as his running mate.
Akeredolu announced this on Wednesday during the swearing in of a new commissioner and special adviser at cocoa house, government house, Ondo.

He said lucky Aiyedatiwa was picked after wide consultations with the leadership of the party due to his antecedents.
The governor said the APC has what it takes to win in the October polls considering the infrastructural strides which he said will be consolidated upon if given a second chance.
Meanwhile, Akeredolu has sworn in two persons as members of the state executive council.
They are Hon. Idowu Otetubi, named Commissioner for Natural Resources;
Mr. Summy Smart Francis, Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship Development.

The governor said the two appointees are of good reputation, noted that they performed well in previous responsibilities entrusted to them.
Responding, Hon. Idowu Otetubi, Commissioner for Natural Resources and Mr. Summy Smart Francis, Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship Development appreciated the State Government for the opportunity given to them to prove the best of their abilities.
