Isoko North local government council and the people of Isoko nation have appealed to Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, to overhaul the general hospital in Ozoro.
The appealed was made after the Isoko local government chairman, Mr Emmanuel Egbabor, Ozoro monarch HRM Anthony Uvietoborie Ogbogbo, Ibuka I and the executive of Isoko Development Union (IDU) led by Chief Iduh Amadhe and others assessed facilities in the hospital.

The local government council and the top brass indigenes of Isoko visited the hospital following complaints by patients that they were not given proper attention in the hospital.
The delegation assessed the impact of erosion on the hospital, noted the need to have more doctors in the hospital to ensure prompt service delivery.

Speaking after the inspection, chairman of Isoko North, Mr Emmanuel Egbabor, said he will draw the attention of the state government to abandoned projects at the hospital.
In separate reactions, the Ovie of Ozoro kingdom, HRM Anthony Uvietoborie Ogbogbo, Ibuka 1; President General of Isoko Development Union (IDU) Chief Iduh Amadhe and Hon Emmanuel Egbabor, expressed dissatisfaction at the state of infrastructure in the hospital and quality of service given to patients.
The medical superintendent in-charge of the hospital, Dr Ehwre Ejukonewu, appealed to the council and leaders of Isoko to draw the attention of government to uncompleted projects in the hospital as well as other basic needs.
He mentioned some of the things required by the hospital to include, ambulance, 30KVA generator, delivery beds for labour ward, mattresses, toilet for staff and patients as well as completion of NDDC and DESOPADEC projects in the hospital.

Ejukonewu listed other needs in the hospital to include, expansion of the pharmacy, consulting rooms, store and laboratory block; construction of waiting area for patients at the medical records department and isolation unit; sand filling and interlocking of hospital premises.
The hospital has one resident medical doctor.
