The Anti-kidnapping unit of Rivers state police command has exhumed decomposing bodies of three undergraduates of the University of Port Harcourt who were kidnapped few months ago.
Three undergraduate students of UNIPORT were reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The decomposing bodies, one female and two males were exhumed in a forest in Etoo community, Eleme local government area, Rivers state.

Men of the Anti-kidnapping unit of Rivers state who were investigating the case were said to have arrested a member of the kidnap gang who took them to where the students were killed and buried in a shallow grave.
The suspect who was identified as Friday Akpan, told newsmen in the forest where the corpses were exhumed that they abducted the victims identified as Joy Adoki, Nelson Nwafor and Fortune Obimba on the order of one Bright.
Akpan explained that they killed and buried the three victims after raping the female among them, Joy Adoki.
He said Bright told them that one of the victims betrayed him by diverting a certain amount of money that was paid into his account.
Briefing newsmen, Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers state police command, Nnamdi Omoni disclosed that the men of Anti-kidnapping unit led by its commander, CSP Edward Shadar, swung into action after a case of kidnap of the three undergraduates was reported to the unit.
Omoni said following discreet investigation by the unit, suspects were arrested and one of them led the Police to the place where the undergraduates were killed and buried.
The PPRO said one AK 47 riffle, one pistol, three magazines, 72 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
The corpses have been deposited in a morgue for further investigations.
