Jos – 66 suspects linked to different criminal acts during the Sallah period were arrested by the Plateau State Police Command.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Hassan Yabanet told journalists at the Police Headquarters in Jos that apart from the arrest of suspected cultists, armed robbers and others, there was also a recovery of arms and ammunition during the period.

He said, “I have invited you to brief you on the role of the Plateau State Police Command on the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations and the arrest of two notorious armed robbery suspects/recovery of arms and ammunition. 14 machetes, eight daggers, large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, six tricycles, four motorcycles and a bottle containing illicit substances.
