Senator Chris Ekpenyong, representing Akwa Ibom Northwest senatorial district (Ikot Ekpene) says his senatorial district will support whosoever Governor Udom Emmanuel brings as his succession, even if the person is a cripple.
Senator Ekpenyong dropped the hint on Wednesday during the inauguration of two 45 meters span Bridges and second phase of Nto Edino- Ekwerazu road.

Construction of the bridges were flag-off in 2016 and were on Wednesday inauguration as part of activities to mark the 34th anniversary of Akwa Ibom State creation.
Ekpenyong, a one time deputy governor of Akwa Ibom state said during the inauguration of the road project streamed live on the Akwa Ibom State Government’s official Facebook page that the people of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district will support whoever Governor Udom Emmanuel chooses as his successor, even if the person is a cripple.
“The people of Obot Akara and Ikot Ekpene senatorial district which I represent will support you to produce a successor, even if you bring a cripple”, Senator Ekpenyong said.
