Jos – A political group in Plateau State, the All Progressives Congress, APC Strategic Monitoring Team, APC-SMT has declared support for the State Governor, Simon Lalong on his choice as the Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organisation saying it is “the best deal for our people and our State.”
The group in solidarity reiterated the readiness to support the Governor to succeed because the assignment is not just a mere appointment but an opportunity for political negotiations which would benefit the State.
Addressing journalists on Friday in Jos, the group through its Coordinator, Golepji Wambutda insisted that rather than stand on the sideline and complain, the Governor should remain inside and correct whatever abnormality within the Party.

We salute and support the decision of our party the All Progressives Congress and the flag bearer Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in appointing our Governor, Simon Lalong to serve as the Director General of the Tinubu Shettima campaign organisation
“His selection provides the other leg of the tripod on which the much-yearned inclusion, fairness and equity are needed to stand. A Presidential Campaign Director General is not just a mere appointment in the Campaign Council, rather it is in the heartbeat of the whole transition process and political negotiations that the foundation of a new Government is set after winning an election.
